Mobile WiFi 4g router dropping out

I’ve got an EE 4g mifi router in rural setting, on which I run a couple of wireless security cameras.  Mobile signal is good. But the router keeps dropping out and I lose access to both cameras.  It’s an hour’s drive to unplug and plug the router back in, which fixes it.

Is there a way of pinging the 4g mifi router remotely or somehow resetting it without being physically present?

No, you cannot access the router remotely.
