I have just upgraded to the new 5GEE router, on the unlimited data plan.
The download and upload speeds are not what I can get on my 5G phone, even when right next to the router - highball strength isn't an issue.
Further, I can't get my smart plugs to work now. I do realise they need to be connected via the 2.4ghz WiFi and in the router settings I've changed it to just use that rather than both. I still cannot connect the plugs.

I had the same issue too. I got 50mb maximum, logged into router, switched to use 5G network only, and then had no connection at all. Switched to use 4g only and now getting the 5g speeds I'd expect, similar to my 5g phone, several hundred mbps. Strange!
