Hello,
I have recently tried using my 4GEE device for which I pay monthly for data. It is however displaying "Invalid Sim" on the 4GEE WiFi dashboard. I already tried adding an add-on in form of extra data and reset the device but it didn't help. What can I do?
I tried logging-in to change device's SSID and Password and and the default password doesn't work (I already reset the device using the button next to the battery). I assume it has to do with the "Invalid SIM" error?
I'm attaching photos below and would appreciate any help with this.
Thanks,
Michael

@MichaelMACLD Glad to hear that the 4GEE device password has started working and you have been able to access the admin page now.
It does look like the SIM is faulty then, it is possible to get a replacement SIM one of two ways. You can head to your nearest EE store with photo-ID and they can give you a replacement EE Store Finder | How to find your nearest EE store | EE.
Or you can give us a call on 150 from an EE mobile or 07953 966 150 from any phone and we can get one sent out in the post for you.

Hello @MichaelMACLD,
Welcome to the EE Community
It does seem like the device is having an issue reading the SIM and so wont be getting any signal to use. Is it possible to remove the SIM and test it another device such as your phone to see if the SIM has the same issue or works?
Just to double check for the admin page login it is the admin password you are trying to use rather than the Wi-Fi password? The Wi-Fi security type you can change once in the admin page as depending on the model you should be able to update it to a newer security standard.
When and where did you buy the device? Do you know which model it is?

Hi Alex,
In terms of the Router access password - I am using the correct one - located under the HTTP://192.168.1.1 address on the back cover of the device.
It's definitely an older model - must have been bought around 2020-2021?
cant test the sim just now, but will in the evening and respond with the results.

@MichaelMACLD Thank you for confirming, just wanted to make sure with regards to the password. Unfortunately the password not being accepted even after a factory reset does indicate a fault with the device. Let us know how the test with the SIM goes when you get a chance.

Hi Alex,
I had a chance to check that SIM card - it looks like it's broken as I get "No Service" when I use it in a mobile phone. Is it possible to get a replacement sent out?
The 4GEE device started working , so I was able to get into the WiFi settings and change the security protocol now.
Many thanks,
