Passcodes and email

Good morning,
This is a strange point, I have a BT Email account, most of you
probably have one too, when I want to sign in, I need a passcode,
the choice of where they can send the code, is my phone, or the
email account that I am trying to get in to.
If I can't use my phone for any reason, what do I do, I tried to get
into, "My BT", but the passcode didn't work, I got an error message,

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.

I only want to add a Gmail account, or I won't get any passcodes in
the future.
Do any of you have any suggestions, or perhaps someone from EE
can access my BT account for me.

Thank you for your time in reading this and hopefully having an answer.

Mike.

@McSkirmish : This is a BT Mail issue & nowt to do with EE.

It seems madness that BT would send an OTP to your BT Mail when the OTP is for allowing you to login to your BT Mail. It kinda defeats the purpose!

Thank you XRaySpeX, for the reply, I know that it is a BT problem<
but since both EE & BT are allegedly, the same company, I thought
that I might find somebody here, There is no BT help anywhere that
I can find. All the BT phone numbers are now EE numbers as far as
I can tell, yet there is no dual service.

There is no problem yet, but there will be if I don't have the use of
a phone, I have had 3 passcodes sent to my phone in the last few
minutes, from, my Doctors Surgery website, BT Email and here to
get your reply.

I wonder which genius decided the place to get a passcode without
any consultation, probably AI, that replaced lots of people.

Thanks again.
Mike.

BT & EE are not the same co. nor providers of services with their own products, services & support. They are both subsidiaries of the BT Group. EE doesn't even provide any email services.

Update
I see some of the replies have disappeared, gg30340, answered and
supplied me with a phone number for BT, 03301234150, before I called,
I tried to get into my BT account and this time I did, it opened up as BT,
with all the same things available, the only thing that I have is email,
the account number was my EE Account number.

While I had the site open, I called the above number, I got a reply, welcome
to EE, so there is another conundrum for you, if they are not the same
company, then something strange is happening, anyway, EE have raised
a form, for their Technical Department to look into it, I went to edit the
2 Stage security area, but it only allowed me to supply another phone.

The person that spoke with explained that they have never had so much
trouble before the Passcode system was introduced, but now 90+% of
calls are about passcodes!

Mike.

Yes, I find it strange that when I phone BT on their no. on my BT landline about my separate BT landline I get answered by 'EE'. I understand that both providers share the same phone staff to deal with either system. But at least when BT emails, calls or texts me they come from 'BT'.

There is no user 'gg30340' here. Maybe on BT Community?
