Apple TV activation 6 month trial

Hi. I cannot get it to activate. I’m going through the EE app and a button pops up to activate through Apple.com. When I click on it it says there’s a problem and to try again later. I’ve been trying for a few weeks and still get the same error. 
What else can I try

Have you tried to activate the Apple TV+ subscription by logging in through the EE website?
