Xbox ultimate game pass won't allow me to share with child

Ive got the Xbox ultimate game pass with my EE sim but it won't allow me to share it with my child's profile, I have put the Xbox to my home Xbox whilst logged into my account but it still won't work. Any suggestions as to why?
