Xbox gamer pass

So checking out the xbox gamer pass add on as my ultimate is set to expire on the 9th, it costs £10pm but I noticed in the description it states you save £8.98 a month. 

To buy the gamer pass from xbox it costs £10.99 so am I missing something? I'm not complaining it's still a saving I'm just genuinely curious if I'm missing something or if it's just a mistake in the app

Hi Leanne, no I do not have a smart plan, just the essentials. I was just curious as to how I can save 8.99. Would that be with a smart plan?
