Xbox gamepass

I've recently took out the xbox series x in store but had no code for gamepass.

I phoned ee and they said it should be on a card in the box then I've seen other posts saying I get a text. 

How do I actually get the code for the gamepass?

You normally receive it 14 days after purchase by text.

14 days?? So you have the xbox for two weeks before I can actually use it 🤣

You could always buy cheap games from Cex in the mean time before you receive the Game Pass code.

You used to get 3 months free. 

You can still use the console without the pass. 

You will receive an SMS within 14 days to complete activation of the service using your Microsoft account. Once you have activated the service the Xbox Add-on or Inclusive Extra will be added to your account. If you already have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate direct from Microsoft, it will automatically be updated to the Xbox Add-on or Inclusive Extra on your next renewal date and added to your EE account.
