Xbox Cloud Gaming has stopped working.

Hi, I upgraded from BT to EE broadband today and got the Full Fibre Gigabit package. I’ve tried cloud gaming on my Xbox S and have noticed that as soon as you load a game the title screens lag and usually get disconnected from the service before I even get to a menu. We had no issues on BT. I have tried cloud gaming on another TV using the Xbox app and this seems to be working fine.

Wondering if there’s a setting that needs changing or something similar?

thanks in advance

Good evening @ChrisWalling.

Welcome to the EE Community!

Is it over WiFi or Ethernet that you're connecting to your Xbox here, and if it's the former are you in good range of your Hub?
Peter

Evening @Peter_W ,

The connection is over WiFi, at a guess I would say I’m 10m from my Hub. My Xbox says signal strength is 64% which is what it also said with the BT hub.

Thanks for your reply,

Chris

@ChrisWalling Is the Xbox showing as connected on 2.4GHz when checking in your connected devices in the Hub Manager in 192.168.1.254?

As I see Microsoft recommend the 5GHz band so if it is on 2.4GHz that could potentially be the problem.

The Cloud gaming on your other TV that worked fine, that was on your WiFi connection as well?
