Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

 

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?


When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.



Am I eligible?


You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

 

 

Can I buy over the phone?


No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

 

 

How do I know my order has been successful?


When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.


You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

 

 

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?


Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

 

 

Will you be selling accessories or games?


Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

 

 

How will I find out about my delivery details?

 

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

 

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

 

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

 

 

What if I want to cancel my order?


If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

@MikeD_89  he's confident it is as they wouldn't take the money out of they had doubts or didn't have your order

From what I understand you need to be within the first 17 months of your contract so that your contract doesn't expire while you still owe on the console.

 

I have a few lines, I couldn't add to my main one as its due for renewal in January but the second line allowed me to do so.

 

Maybe the eligibility is just a credit check, I imagine SIM only contracts require less of a good credit score so it may just be a standard thing they're doing on everyone who's ordered it against a SIM only line.

I ordered and got email yesterday at 8:28am

 

Half an hour ago received 9 emails "Your PS5 Order"

 

Just now another email received please call us with order number more information required.

Hi 

yeah I got the email three times I just got of the phone the lady said I should be fine as I orders at 08:31 yesterday just think the system is playing catch up the lady was very nice about it. My money has not been taken yet not showing up on my account but again to previous post reckon it’s about someone pressing the button to be fair to EE they performed 100 times better than some of retailer sites so I am going to sit tight and wait .

Manage to call them now answered straight away they were saying they cannot complete order on SimOnly luckily I have another line with a contract she is adding there im on call and processing the order now

In the same boat! Can’t get through to any sort of customer service on the phone just cuts you off. Seems abit suspicious, I expect there will be some reason or another and our ps5’s will be delayed or not in stock

Now processed and received this email:

Thank you for placing an order for Add to Plan on your account. You can expect to receive your PlayStation 5 before 15th December 2020.  We’ll keep you updated by text message on the progress of your order.

An eligibility check may consist of

 

  • A credit check
  • Checking card used to make payment is in your name (if not you may need to call to provide more details)
  • You meet the criteria - you have to have so many months left on you plan. That saying if you didn't they would ask you to call and see what they could do

My story:

I have a sim plan only (i’ve got the order number and first email yesterday).

I called them and asked them : ” Can I secure my order If I will order new phone plan today?”

and They said yes.

I ordered new iPhone 12 pro max.

Now after all they told me that I’m not 17 month with EE so this order with PS5 will be cancel.

 

No words.

 

This is just sad.
