Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

 

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?


When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.



Am I eligible?


You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

 

 

Can I buy over the phone?


No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

 

 

How do I know my order has been successful?


When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.


You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

 

 

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?


Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

 

 

Will you be selling accessories or games?


Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

 

 

How will I find out about my delivery details?

 

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

 

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

 

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

 

 

What if I want to cancel my order?


If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

Just been reading some ee twitter tweets by ee customers some getting orders cancelled etc. Some very unhappy tweets..

who else just received an email like this for you PS5 order?

"Hi,
Thank you for your recent order for an add to plan product.
Unfortunately, you’ve reached the maximum add to plan orders on your account.
Don’t worry, we have not taken any payment at this time.
Thanks."

a dreadful company. Take my add on order for the PS5 over a week ago, confirm by email yesterday when coming, email me today to say it’s been cancelled then have to ring up this morning to find it’s because I’m on a sim only deal. Thanks for the heads up!! Kids bday ruined

Just to reiterate no one is unhappy with the customers who got their order today, its EE allowing it to happen! I honestly don't get how this has happened and how they think this is the best way to treat people who SPENT MORE money getting bundles. There is no point asking Christopher or anyone from the CS/DS team. It is all about either the higher ups or the people in the warehouse and quite frankly its a disgrace. I don't care if people say "15th Dec". That isn't the point, the point is people who shouldn't have been able to place an order have already F****** received one!!!!

What is even happening with bundle orders now then ?? ..  could we possibly get an dpd email tomorrow for delivery on Monday?? Or do we have to wait till atleast Thursday for there next shipment and then expect it the following week ??

@Luke891 I was told earlier it could be anytime as orders won’t ship tonight next collection from Dpd is tomorrow for Monday. But bundles are needing to be put together and it takes longer some staff think controllers are out of stock but I got told they aren’t and others have said the ps+ is out of stock but I’ve seen some people say they got told they aren’t so it may just be they are putting all bundles together and shipping tomorrow and Monday? I got told on Thursday from the agent who told me they had all the stock it would be within 5-7 working days

I said I think mid way through this whole forum ... that I think there doing it dependant on the bundles people order instead of the time ... as it would be much easier for staff to pick that way , so if console only have gone out first , that's gave them a full weekend to put bundles together ,    hopefully sometime next week would be a safe bet ,

Is anyone still waiting for the confirmation email that their order has been processed?

 

I received the xko number and 'Your PS5 order' email advising that they will send a further email once the order has been processed.

 

I'm starting to think my order has been forgotten about. How does EE have enough stock to cover 2 hours worth of orders?

I think you've had the emails you need. Same here and I'm waiting for my bundle still. Apparently those are the two emails you need (and the £10 taken).

If I was everyone I'd wait, give EE benefit of the doubt and see what happens tomorrow if we have no delivery notifications tomorrow evening then theres problems and we riot. But until then, just dont ring you'll stress yourselves out I'll keep ringing until they just tell you what you want to hear. Then someone will post on here oh I've been told there all out of stock then everyone rings again. No point ringing dont even give the chat a thought otherwise you'll get stupid texts. Lets all wait they've got 36 hours to pack it all and ready for pick up tomorrow night. Fingers crossed guys theres no reason why we shouldn't have them Monday. Keep the faith and chilllllllll

I just got a dpd confirmation...............

 

Before everyone gets there hopes up this is from currys confirming lgcx I bought to go alongside the ps5. And its confirms that I am receiving the tv at the time they had told me in an earlier email

 

Come on folks we still have 17 days to go, and ee its only an extra controller, my TV will be lonely without my ps5 please see this and confirm soon 🙏
