Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?

When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.

Am I eligible?

You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

Can I buy over the phone?

No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

How do I know my order has been successful?

When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.

You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?

Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

Will you be selling accessories or games?

Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

How will I find out about my delivery details?

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

What if I want to cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

I see you ordered the PS5 with DualShock Controller and PS Plus bundle on 21st November and we have that order in our system ready to be fulfilled once we get the stoc I'm aware some customers have started to receive deliveries as there were 3 different PS5 bundles, and we did get stock for one of those to start making shipments.

Yours will be delivered as soon as we have stock of your bundle. It could be that the people with the different information ordered the different bundles, but overall everyone should be getting told that we expect to fulfil all orders by the 15th December as per the advice given on our website where the order was placed.

If EE do not manage to meet this 15/12 delivery hate for all of us bundle customers I will be absolutely furious. People who weren’t eligible and ordered after the console was supposedly OOS receive there’s and those of us who spend more money on bundles and get our orders in early are penalised. 

Have to feel for the CS staff their management have seriously let them down and then let them take the brunt of 1000s of people wanting more info.

@MarinaXx I wouldn't worry too much about it. I got the same "out of stock" spiel from live chat, who then "checked again" and said that actually that didn't matter because my order was a "pre-order". I think these people are misunderstanding us and assuming that we're on some waiting list. That also looks like something someone manually typed up and sent.

Anyways, I'm going to take a break from the thread for a bit. Hopefully we all get our PS5s. In the mean time I'm off to look at other networks for my phone upgrade.

But on my live chat with a guy he said I would hear from delivery team and I’ll get a text pushed forward.

that text is as if I won’t get it before 15th as out of stock as if all stock has gone

Just to let others know mine has just arrived and turned up in a box that had seal broken and resealed. On the box label it said quality 2 but there was only 1 in the box. I only ordered one so my guess is this was the box it was sent via original supplier and they took one out, would explain why the original seal was broken.

mine just arrived in the original Sony box too which said quantity 2. 
DPD driver told me had a knife to his throat for a ps5 last week in my area! They also had two vans stolen. Disgusting humans.

I have a very unhappy husband today. DPD were meant to deliver the console this afternoon. We’ve been here all day and I’ve just had notification to say they ‘missed’ us and would come back tomorrow. The picture on the DPD app is of a completely different house. This is torture!!!!
