Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

 

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?


When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.



Am I eligible?


You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

 

 

Can I buy over the phone?


No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

 

 

How do I know my order has been successful?


When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.


You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

 

 

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?


Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

 

 

Will you be selling accessories or games?


Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

 

 

How will I find out about my delivery details?

 

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

 

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

 

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

 

 

What if I want to cancel my order?


If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

Just got my update from the DPD app! Parcel from EE to be delivered by the 5th!

 

SIM only, console only, ordered around 9:50 on the 19th. Received my confirmation text from EE last Friday like a lot of others.

@Sully2k20  I'd rather temporarily have £450 of my savings tied up and know I have the PS5 for my sons birthday (then sell the 2nd at retail to family if it arrives) than 100% trust a company that haven't exactly been on point so far with my order.

 

And besides, it's really non of your business how complete strangers spend their money. 

Smacks of jealousy to me that you aren't in a position to secure a 2nd one outright.

Given up with the Argos thing. It allowed me to add to basket and process the order for collection but once the order is processed it comes up with a message saying "Sorry we've had to cancel your order and your money has been refunded".

 

Tried this twice now so I'm not going again. Currently got £1000 sat in pending on my Paypal! (it'll be cancelled within 30 days so they say).

 

Nevermind. Guess I wait!

@murpo People should have read the T&Cs before adding it to account. Its been mentioned on here so many times. If your order has been cancelled then absolutely go to Argos and buy one. It is hasn't use some common sense and wait until the 15th. If you don't trust EE why on earth are you using their services? 

Its 11 days based on what we where told but EE have hardly inspired confidence that they will keep to their word and deliver. Its hardly a big deal to me to bring one back plus I know lots of pole who haven't been able to get one and they would be happy to have it if I end up with both. 

 

I think its clear you want it for someone who can wait and be explained to. I can't explain to my 8 years old that santa didn't get him a ps5 cause EE had a stick delay on controllers. 

 

I expect I'll end up with 2 but no harm done

Oh they better ffing not send more console only orders today as that will just rub salt in the wound.

@Thebatmanofbelf Don't even think EE can claim a delay on controllers as you can get one from the add on store right now.

@Sully2k20 And what happens if people don't receive this by the 15th & in fact have to wait until after Christmas?

 

Children don't understand how stock works etc, they'll want it for Christmas and given the year everybody has had, parents don't want to add any disappointment to their children on Christmas day.

 

It's a good back up option to buy another if you have the money, you can always take it back if EE come through.. maybe just keep your opinions to yourself and stop laughing at people that want to make their children happy at Christmas - have a good weekend.

@Sully2k20 I use EE because they have the best service(not customer service) and speed, that doesn’t mean I trust them. They have shocking communication. 

And no I shouldn’t wait until the 15th because the DS guy I spoke to yesterday told me to call back on Monday if it doesn’t get dispatched today.
