Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

 

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?


When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.



Am I eligible?


You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

 

 

Can I buy over the phone?


No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

 

 

How do I know my order has been successful?


When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.


You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

 

 

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?


Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

 

 

Will you be selling accessories or games?


Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

 

 

How will I find out about my delivery details?

 

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

 

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

 

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

 

 

What if I want to cancel my order?


If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

@Keemusabi94 I am not sure, but I haven't had one and called DS. They told me I still got an open order and I should wait till Friday afternoon as they get a big delivery on Thursday.

 

I hope it's all alright and. I did not get the text like other Sim Only who just got their order approved last Friday, I am assuming because of us just being approved on Friday we did not get it.

How long do you have left on your sim only contract? If you are outside of the first 7 months you won’t be eligible sadly

I got a call about it and renewed on Saturday for 24 months! They better not decide to cancel after I renewed.

 

I know others renewed too so it would be a real blow if they now changed their mind again...

I’d imagine you’ll struggle to get it if you ordered before renewing as the t’s and c’s of add to plans state you need to be within your first 7 months on a simo to be eligible. Fingers crossed for you though. The BT shop delivered the majority of there PS5 orders today

I had SimOnly when I placed the order.

 

I then decided to cancel it after the PS5 fiasco at the start, and on Friday they turned around and granted all orders. On Saturday DS called me mentioning I will need to reinstate contract, so I did 🙂 Can't think it is a problem but if it is, I will change from EE as I would have been clearly missold a contract by EE.

@MESSBAND Mine is a Open order too so hopefully I hear something on Friday. I ordered the PS5 with Additional Controller 😊

I have a PS5, I've completed Spiderman remastered and miles Morales. Played black ops zombies and multiplayer, some Astros playroom and dabbled in Demon's souls. Unfortunately it's noisy, particularly when being turned on so need to return it. Just waiting on console from EE before I do.

What do people prefer to play on, a TV or a gaming monitor?

@Jass86  See I don’t get that. DPD don’t hold stock for any company. They are purely a logistics firm.

 

If they hold the stock how when you buy a new phone does it come with a ee SIM card in the pack. They do not have the power/resources to activate that sim. And then u think how many companies use DPD it would be impossible for this to work!
