Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

 

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?


When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.



Am I eligible?


You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

 

 

Can I buy over the phone?


No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

 

 

How do I know my order has been successful?


When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.


You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

 

 

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?


Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

 

 

Will you be selling accessories or games?


Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

 

 

How will I find out about my delivery details?

 

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

 

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

 

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

 

 

What if I want to cancel my order?


If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

Not to add any fuel to the weekly update fire but I got a text off EE last night about my iPhone order which said “Hi Oliver, your order number xxxxxxxxxx is on track. To get the latest update on your order visit (long web url) Thanks from EE.” So clearly they are sending weekly updates as this came exactly a week after I ordered. Just not for the PS5 orders though it would seem.


Perhaps that is something to do with the manual nature of the way in which these orders were processed? Who knows!

I mentioned to digi sales about not having any texts about it being added or it not showing on my add to plan and he also said it shouldn’t show until it’s been shipped much like getting a new phone as that means you’ll be billed for an item you don’t have. It seems they are at least working on people orders so giving them more clarity whether they’ve been accepted!

Just off the phone to EE after they called me back and they have said they have decided to honour the order, now i'm not sure if it's just mine or all Sim Only orders, but the guy said the instruction had come from higher up which sounds like it'll be all of them. 

 

They have now taken my £10 and sent me the confirmation email. They also said they won't be getting anymore stock till the 15th so my delivery would be after that but hopefully before Xmas.

Funny you should reply, I had £10 taken not so long ago and an email confirming order. Looks like lots of sim only holders are commenting on here with similar stories so it looks like good news for us all, yipee!

 

I did notice my contract was getting charged 55 a month instead of 50. However it seems they’re charging all sim only holders 55 and then giving them a discount of 5,10,15 as well (depending on which package you got), so the net impact is what you ordered initially, if that makes sense to everyone?

 

i.e. I should of only been paying 50 a month on my order but I’ve now got two things shown in my add ons, 55 for ps5 and -5 loyalty discount. Just in case anyone gets confused by why they’re getting charged more. Nothing to do with VAT! Just a nuance of their system I guess at the moment.

 

Can finally rest easy, not too fussed when it comes, just wanted some confirmation!

Through the app. I haven't recieve anything but I am a contract sutomer not sim only. If they stayed they getting no more stock till 15th to aim only does that not say that they have stock to send to other customers ? Tbh I've given up even trying to find out atm and will just wait for an update of delivery 

I'm just in shock. Last Sunday I received a call from EE saying unfortunately I was not able to have a PS5 as I am Sim Only. 

I have now received a text out of the blue confirming an add on, along with an email about my PS5 order and the £10 deposit has just been taken.

 

I ordered mine around 8.45.
