**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Find out more about Add To Plan >

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?

When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.

Am I eligible?

You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

Can I buy over the phone?

No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

How do I know my order has been successful?

When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

order confirmation page.jpg

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

order confirmation email.jpg

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.

You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?

Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

Will you be selling accessories or games?

Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

How will I find out about my delivery details?

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

What if I want to cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

Are you excited about getting your hands on one?

I suspect EE maybe don't have the functionality on the backend of the site to make addon items pre-order. So the only option was to list it as in stock, delivery within 1 working day with text on the listing stating 15th December. Certainly not ideal!!

I for one completely missed the 15th December text as I was in a rush to buy before it sold out and was under the impression they had a limited amount in stock. Especially as I ordered at 8.17

It's unfortunate EE couldn't exclude non qualifying customers from ordering and make it 100% clear this was a pre-order.

I think this thread would of had way less posts 😁

Not blaming EE, its a nightmare getting one wherever you go and will patiently wait for my PS5

After speaking with EE CS last week, and some friends who work in the gaming industry, the current situation appears quite straight forward to me.

Most, if not all UK retailers were not intending on actually receiving stock of the PS5 around launch day, except for pre orders. Some may have had a few extra ones delivered which they’ve now sold, but in the main Sony weren’t supplying retailers last week. Instead retailers placed an initial order for stock and Sony are intending on delivering these over the coming weeks, starting at the end of this week. As for how much of their allocated stock each retailer receives per delivery is unknown, which is why EE, among others, can’t give clear delivery dates to customers.

For example; let’s say EE ordered 1000 PS5 consoles. They have then sold these to customers knowing they have 1000 consoles coming to sell. However these weren’t in a EE warehouse when we all ordered last week, as Sony were yet to deliver them. Now when stock arrives at EE, this could be 1 delivery of 1000, or broken down into 2 deliveries of 500, 10 of 100 etc. EE and everyone else don’t know how much stock they will get or when. When they receive some consoles, those whose orders were processed first will have it sent to them.

(please note: the number 1000 was just an example, I don’t know how much stock EE have ordered)

Those saying they should have ordered elsewhere will likely have found the same issue at other retailers as it’s the same process for every store. The blame here is with Sony for not being able to meet demand and get supplies to retailers in time.

If like most of us you have had your confirmation email and the £10 taken then you are simply waiting for EE to receive stock and just hoping you are allocated one in the first batch of deliveries.

Sony are aiming to get all stock to retailers by mid December at the latest, which is where I guess the Dec 15th date came from.

I think you're probably bang on, it would just be nice for someone from EE to confirm all that so everyone knows where they stand

Morning all !

Apparently tomorrow is the day they should get stock, but who knows?

Ee responded to my tweet i sent last week on Thursday still stating we can get our consoles anytime from now till the 15th.

I responded by saying about there communication was appalling and that it did say in stock when it was advertised.

The reply I was got was take it up with ee customer service 🙄

I am not sure about stock and black Friday but I did hear that there wouldn't be any deals on the actual console 🤔

Totally agree that an email/text just to keep us updated - even if its a hello from ee we acknowledge your still there.

And Chris I appreciate you replying but its just the same thing over again. I appreciate you may not know but someone from ee must do.

On another note I do appreciate ee are busy etc but as alpt of you saw, I believed and saw that it was in deed in stock and then to be told it was a pre order after, to me is not right

Funny thing is i am following stockinformers discussion as well. All retailers who opened orders on launch day said “you’ll receive it by 15th December” definitely something going on in the backend which we don’t know.

Curry’s has sent some out. Game has sent nothing out and no correspondence.

Good grief, there's a lot of convoluted nonsense being talked in here, that they're saving all the PS5s in a warehouse till there's enough for everyone, or they're monitoring the forums to decide who to send them to etc, so it's best to phone them 10 times a day to pester them.  It's obviously a lot simpler than that: Bill Gates has taken control of the stocks and will only dish them out to those of us who've had the mind control vaccine and live in a 5G area so he can monitor our high scores.  So everyone ring them now to book your vaccination, I'm sure they'll be glad to hear from you!

My neighbour ordered one with curry's (after a lot if will he won't he) he received an email curry's saying by 15th and he got it yesterday. He spoke to curry's though as when he received it something was missing and they said they ahd started receiving some stock and as soon as they get it they are sending it out. Because they don't want a big rush.

As they say no news is good news. It will come soon, but they definitely haven't got any stock yet
