I purchased the Xbox deal Christmas 2024 have tried to access the gaming pass, but no joy and frustrated as paying all this money when it would have been cheaper to just buy locally

I'm sorry you have had trouble redeeming this and it's been going on so long. 

What happened when you tried to activate it at the time? Did you get a text with a link?
