I have bought a Samsung Watch 4 but 3 who my contract is with doesn't support mobile plans for it. I have a Samsung Galaxy S22+ which supports dual SIM, so I have put a pay as you go EE SIM in it. I am having issues setting it up as my old tablet contract was with EE but when I log in on my phone it says account closed which is correct.
I get an error message when I try to add the SIM and when I click on the link for help it loads a 404 Not Found page. The website is as useful as a chocolate teapot!
I can't set up a new account as it is already registered to my email address so what is the issue that is making this so complicated?

@scaryclare your email address is still registered with EE so you need to call customer services and request that they remove your email address or alternatively can you use a different email address ? You also cannot have that watch on contract with EE if you’re a pay-as-you-go customer you can only have contacts for watches when your a contract customer.

Oh so that plan won't work either as I was hoping it would work with the pay as you go SIM. I have a 24 month contract with 3 so it would cost a fortune to cancel it and change to one with EE.
Oh well it looks like I will just be using the basic features with the watch then as there doesn't seem to be a simple way to sort it out. It's sods law as I had been with Vodaphone for years but changed a few months ago and they would have supported the mobile plan for the watch.
I didn't realise it would be so complicated to use the features on the watch as I thought it was just a case of connecting it to the phone. There is no mention on the blurb about it that it needs its own mobile plan to make and receive calls and text messages.

Hi @scaryclare
Sorry, as @Chris_B has advised to use a cellular connection on the watch you would need a pay monthly contract account with EE, you could use a SIM Only contract and add the data plan to this.
Thanks.
