No Mobile Reception

Its been down since I first got this sim back in April. Its been so slow. Barely get one bar. Keep reporting it and EE just tells me that the checks say that everything's fine when its not. I wish I wasnt locked into a 24 month contract because its so unbelievably crap. My data is terrible and so is my reception. I feel like it was better on giffgaff which is shocking since Giffgaff was horrible. I rarely have one bar of reception, and I cant stand it because I'm constantly missing calls and the WiFi calling barely works on data properly and the data is sooo bad.

Hi @Pixie8 Hi

Sorry to hear you’re facing problems with signal.

Do you know if anyone else on EE in the area who is facing the same issue?

You can check coverage and network status at Check mobile coverage where you can also report any issues you are facing, as well as sign up for updates on any known issues that may be going on.

If the network shows no signal issues in the area, are you able to test your SIM card in a different mobile phone?
This will rule out any issues in your handset/antenna, which is a common cause of signal being stuck on 1 bar.

When you're using WiFi-calling, your phone is connected to a WiFi-router which provides a data connection over broadband. EE's network then uses that same WiFi & broadband connection to route your calls & texts, thus bypassing the radio network coverage. If you're having issues here, then it sounds like either a problem with your phone or the WiFi hotspot you're connected to.

If you've had issues with general service since over 2months, then either you're being extremely unlucky with poor coverage areas constantly, or there's an issue with your phone. As more time goes past, I would increasingly suspect your phone.

Have you had a chance to compare your service with friends or relatives who may also be on EE? Do they have similar issues, or are they unique to you? If their service is OK, then that would prove/disprove the network as the cause. A 2way SIM-swap with a known working EE user, would be the next step. Whilst there's nothing inherently wrong with "only 1 bar", your signal indicators should certainly vary in normal circumstances!

My boyfriend has also switched to EE and is having the same issues and it cant be my phone since i bought the new s26 in mid march and put the EE sim in early April.
