NEW APP

I'm on PAYG and downloaded the new app today.  The only thing I use the app for is to view my balances for minutes, texts and data.  So it's annoying that these features are not included within the new app, therefore making it useless for my requirements.  I have deleted the app, and now have to contact customer services to find out this information.

I did that but it says "something went wrong and we cannot show you your remaining data at the moment.  We're sorry about this.  Please try again in a few minutes"

A few minutes?!  Two days and it's still not working!  It's clear that upgrades to the app aren't properly tested before they roll them out.  It scores a pretty feeble 3.5/5 on Play Store reviews.

@A-n-d-r-e-w  That 3.5 will be for the my EE app as a whole not just this new revised version as it’s only just being rolled out.  If that was also a common issue the roll out wouldn’t of happened.  One user with an issue doesn’t mean the app is full of bugs.   Have you cleared the device cache at all ?

Yes, I've done that, and un-installed and re-installed the app, but no joy.

You’ve got a very long way for me to like the app. On the first page it’s telling me I don’t have any data left…. So I clicked on that and it tried to sell me more data. I don’t more data as I have 149g left!!! A very clunky app indeed 😢

Hi @Lord_Romer,

What response do you get if you text BALANCE to 150?

James

Hi

i shouldn’t need to txt anything as the app gives me all the info I need.

My issue is, there is a message on my Home Screen of the app stating that I don’t have data and to tap it to buy more, when I do have data. I can’t see it at the moment as it’s my month end. The message has a green back ground and yellow writing.

When I click on Mobile Plan all the data info is there and was telling me I had 149g of data. So why does it tell me on my Home Screen I don’t have any?

Thanks

Hi @Lord_Romer

How long has this message been showing?

When does your allowance refresh?

If you go on the internet or use any apps do you get a prompt to purchase data?

Leanne.

The new 'IMPROVED' app is absolutely hopeless and thats putting it mildly. Its full of adds and rubbish we are not interested in seeing. Yet the actual useful information like TOP UP HISTORY has been removed. We still cannot download and print our own VAT invoices or print out a yearly statement of payments (as pay as you go customer) EE customer service is appaulling. I wouldnt recommend them. EE just wants your money cares nothing for you as a customer.  Their complaints team is rubbish too.
