Hi,
Is anyone else still having issues with Data gifting? I have one number on my account which just fails each time i gift data from it. The number (My Husbands) got added to my account solely for the purpose of gifting data to my kids and I can't do this. When i rang EE they said it was a known issue on 'new accounts' and are trying to get it sorted but they didn't know when. This has been going on for months now and my phone is up for renewal so I'm worried that if I renew on a different contract then I won't be able to gift data to my kids resulting in 2 very unhappy teenagers. So my question is, is it worth the risk which may result in me having to ring EE everytime I want to gift data (which takes ages to get to the right person on their stupid phone system) or just go elsewhere as EE just seem to have lost their customer service skills??
I have been a loyal customer to EE (for over 20 years) but since they have ganged up with BT they have lost their way in pricing and customer service.

Welcome to the community.
I know how frustrating it will be when data gifting is not working, particularly when you have set up the account this way to take advantage of it.
Do you see any error when you are trying to gift data?
When you are trying to gift, does the recipient phones have any active data at that point or are they completely out?
When was it you last spoke to our tech team about this?

I rang them 2 months ago and then again last month. I have it scheduled to ring them again at the end of this month to transfer my data around again. I spoke to various people and apparently it is a known problem with some new accounts. They can't even do it your end which seems insane!
When i try to gift from this one number it basically says 'failed' so i have to use my data to top the kids data up and I wanted to use my husbands as well as mine as was thinking of reducing my data costs and i have never been able to do this.
They all have active data but only very minimal on the kids accounts hence the need to transfer some. I do not want to pay for additional contracts for my kids as they are only a sim only at a great price. My concern is when my contract is up later this month and what i should do? maybe i should look at going elsewhere for all of us (as only me which is still in contract with you guys) so that i don't have this problem anymore. It has been going on for over 4 months now so unlikely to be solved soon. I ask each time i ring when it is and last they told me was they didn't know which is pretty useless.
