New Broadband and DECT phone not able to receive calls from land lines

I just installed a new broadband package and land line. I have new DECT phones. I can make calls and receive mobile phones calls. I can not receive calls from other landlines. Very aggravating considering the costs involved and elderly infirm in-laws who are struggling to reach me.

@Micheal   it sounds like the port either has not completed or is faulty.

Depending on the timescale, is it a very recent transfer> If not the a call to the customer services team should sort it out.

If you’re thinking of getting a new service from EE … I’d think twice.

I can’t receive phone calls so it’s pretty worthless. Thankfully I can still leave!

Good afternoon @Micheal, welcome back to the Community!

With these phones, am I correct in thinking that you have a base-station connected to the green phone port on the back of your Hub?

Do you know what happens when at the other end when people are trying to call you from a landline too?
Peter

Hello … thank you for replying.

Yes the main phone is connected to the green bit on the hub.

Mobile phones ring through. Other land line phones hear “the number you have dialled has not been recognised.

Thanks @Micheal, if you head over to http://192.168.1.254/ to access your Hub Manager, does this show your landline number and that digital voice is active?
Which model of Hub is it you're using too?

Feel free to share a photo if you're not sure.

Peter

Hi Peter

I went to the link you posted. I looked through everything but I couldn't find much even pertains to the phones. It asked to register but they aren't EE phones. They are Panasonic DECT phones. I've just received a land line phone call from the USA and made one. Worked fine. I just can't receive calls from UK land lines.

Thanks again

Hi

Installed yesterday. Possibly a software fault?

@Micheal   Ah, it can take a day or two for each of the networks routing tables to catch up.

Worth giving it a day or two before calling support.
