Hi @Stevebte

@Stevebte  Are you saying you’ve got something that’s 20 years old and it’s now not fit for purpose?   Because that’s how it reads.

If you stopped payments yourself and are within a contract period after a set time the debt is passed over to a debt collector as you’ve defaulted on your payments.

But and this is very important

Your post doesn’t make much sense and deciphering what you’ve said is why I’ve put the above.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
The problem was the service there was a problem with phone signal and
overseas and uk technical couldent sort the problem botton line 4 months to
end of contract service kept dropping calls signal issues not fit for
purpose i tried to resolve with ee but bottom line there not interested now
getting hastled by debt colecting agency as ee sold the Debt

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "tried to resolve with EE"... did you follow the formal complaints route? That would allow referral to external arbitration if necessary, but at the very least would have had your contractual circumstances reviewed individually.

Or did you arbitrarily decide to stop your monthly payments? If so.. then after a certain period of time EE would indeed pass the debt onto a collection agency. This could also have an impact on your credit file, where a default could easily have been recorded.
