Which is the accurate charges?

BEKI90

Please see attached info. I am trying to understand the extra charges

while abroad. In one part of my account it advises my next bill will be £16 more, however in other section it advises charges of £97? This is a huge difference and so would appreciate clarity on which is correct?

Many thanks,

Rebecca

Hi @BEKI90

It says see details which should tell you.

Where did you go to incur those changes?

Thanks

What is your usual bill?

Open up "See all Charges".

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Unfortunately it does not indicate any details when I click to see details, very odd! I am in Indonesia at present so they are from calls I've had to make.

Usual bill is £30. For some reason it doesn't indicate any charges when I request to see them through that link which is what makes it even more confusing 🤔

Unless you know differently I think when it says "usual" in 1st image it means your last bill of £130.85 (which presumably contains a lot of roaming charges) rather than your usual at-home bill of £30 normal plan.

So it is predicting your next bill as:

  • Extra roaming calls = £97.40 + VAT = £116.88
  • + Normal plan = £30
  • = Next Bill = £146.98
  • Last bill £130.85 + "More than usual" £16.40 = £146.25

Comes out about the same whichever way you calculate it.
