Why can't EE be more like BT and provide a VAT calculation on the bill? I will switch to another provider if they don't sort this out.
Not happy.

@giles1234 , they do on business accounts, just not personal, as people do not normally need it, but maybe you could ask customer service if this is really important to you. You could probably work it out, as that would be 20% VAT, which I believe it still is.

@giles1234 If you require a vat bill then you need to change to a business contract. EE are not obligated separate your vat on your personal customer bill.

@Schockwave : It's only 20% of the ex-VAT price. When you are looking at your bill the VAT has already been added. So to work out the VAT you need to take 16.7% of the amount you see in your bill.

Of course I can work it, I'm not completely stupid. HMRC require a bill to have the address of the vendor, their reg number, date and their VAT number. EE do none of this. It's just annoying.

They may not be obligated, but it would be a good thing to do and cost nothing. In fact it has cost them to remove this info.
Seems like lots of people on here are asking for this.

@giles1234 Vat is on your bill it’s just not separate. And when it used to be the bill did have the wording “this is not a vat invoice”.

@giles1234 , where did anyone say you were stupid? We were all only trying to help. If you need this, why not speak to customer service, most people do not need it, and I personally have not seen many people asking about it, there are probably just a handful.

I have just joined EE from BT and I am so annoyed that the VAT breakdown is not shown on the bill. I was told I would need to move to a business account to get a VAT breakdown but the extra cost this entails makes it not worth moving to a business account. I feel a VAT breakdown is important and should be available when requested!
I am now looking at other suppliers

@JHutchy What extra cost ? You’ll just be changed to a business account.
