V0icemail charges for calls not made

I have been billed for calls to voicemail I did not make. How can this be prevented?

Were you roaming or in the UK when you were charged for the voicemail calls?

Do you get charged when you listen to the voicemails? 

If you would like to turn voicemail off please text VM OFF to 150.

I do not listen to voicemail . I switch it off.
