Upgrade and payments

I am currently paying for just a sim (paid off the phone) but want to upgrade back to a phone and sim deal I pay on the 1st of each month. The upgrade requires 30£ up front and then it’s 77£ monthly for the contract. Would the first payment of 77£ come out next month (may) or would I need to pay the additional £77 to upgrade on top of this months sim only deal ?

You'll pay the £30 upfront when you order. Your next bill will on its normal date in May & will be calculated with pro-rata part charges of a charge for the new contract in part of April & a rebate for the old contract in the same part of April, whenever the changeover occurs.
