Upgrade an eSIM

I have an eSIM on an Apple phone and want to upgrade my SIM only plan. How do I buy an upgraded eSIM contract? I can only see option to buy what looks like a physical SIM.

You dont need a new esim as your tariff is independent.

Does that mean if I order an upgrade through the app it will automatically change the tariff without any need to do any thing with the sim?

You are effectively asking "how do I change my price-plan" - the fact you have an eSIM rather than physical SIM is immaterial.
Priceplans can be changed via the usual methods - via the app/website, or by calling into CS, and yes - you won't need to change your SIM as this is an account-level amendment.
