Upgrade SIM Only after 1 Month?

My 2 year phone+plan expired about 1 month ago, I did the upgrade and signed up for another 2 years SIM only.
When I login into EE I still have the upgrade option, does this mean I can actually upgrade again when I want but just keep starting a fresh 2 years?

I ask as I may want to lose my smart benefit I have.

Thank you.

Yes, but not for free. You'll need to pay off the existing contract.

Hi @Marus

Thanks for coming here.

Is the reason for looking at upgrading to change the smart benefit?

Speak soon.

Leanne.

I had thought about not having the smart benefit, but not decided yet.

I logged in and noticed an upgrade was available, I was able to select a new SIM only deal and got to the checkout (I did not complete it) with no mention of any fee to pay.

Hence my question 🙂

Text reply says "Great news: you're ready to upgrade!....."

Maybe it is just a glitch and it will sort itself out, I am checking so soon after upgrading?
