Upgrade Handset

I would like to upgrade my handset but keep my plan. When I go through the upgrade options on the website I have to choose a new plan. Ideally I would like to just upgrade the handset, my existing phone is paid off but my old plan suits me better than the new options. Surely as we pay off the phone on a separate flex pay plan this should be an option? looking to upgrade my IP14 to an IP17 pro.

When you upgrade a handset you must take 1 of the airtime on offer with it.

OK thanks.Thats a shame. Given my old plan had uncapped speeds and the new one will have 100mbps limit speed do you think this will be an issue? I down load tv shows and occasionally stream tv/sports. Im not uploading live video or anything like that. I need to have EU roaming and the best plan for my budget comes with the 100mbps limit.

Should also mention I use the phone a lot for navigation, especially in the EU, although I understand the speed won't really affect this.

It should be more than sufficient. Streaming video from some of the more popular services is said to use around 30 Mbps at a maximum.

It will be when downloading things for offline viewing that you may be hitting the max rate of 100 Mbps. It will not cause any issues, just means it takes as long as it takes to download at that max rate depending on file size.

Navigation will not be affected in the slightest, a significantly lower speed would be sufficient for this.
