I have two charges on my current bill for calls to a number I dont recognise. According to the bill I made two calls to the same number at the same time for the same duration, both got charged. The number is 09037049005.

@DerekKnowles5 : When you call a Premium Rate no. starting 09, or a Service no. starting 084 or 087, you get 2 charges in your bill of exactly time & duration:

  1. for the Access Charge that EE raises &
  2. for the Service Charge that the Service Provider charges.

See Non Geographic Numbers charges

09037049005 is a scam no. pretending to be the contact for HMRC, often found as a result of inattentively Googling for a contact no. for HMRC. All it does is pass you onto HMRC but at its exorbitant calling rates.
