I have a spending cap set to £0. Does this mean that I cannot be charged any extra on top of my monthly contract or does it mean that there is no limit to how much extra I can be charged? I'm confused.

The Spend Cap restricts certain additional charges above & beyond your capped limit. Details of which charges are & aren't covered, are listed on the page linked below

A Spend Cap of £0 means you can't use any of the things that may be restricted in the lists that @bristolian linked, but may still be charged for the other things that can't be restricted.
Having no limited Spending Cap it at all on what you may be charged would mean that you had NO Spending Cap.

Spending Cap 0 means you can't spend anymore on top of your monthly budget..

@HattoryHanzo666 : Not entirely true! You still may be charged for the other things that can't be restricted by the Spend Cap in the lists that @bristolian linked.
