Smart plan just found out mis sold

Hi All,

I took out a smart plan in Aug 2020 with a Samsung A71 in store was informed of all the benefits. I am now due to upgrade and use my trade in to lower the exorbitant prices that EE are now charging..but guess what?? my model is not on the trade in list!

I am now thinking am I a victim of miss selling here?

After 18 years of loyalty perhaps its time to look elsewhere as I have seen the same model I want for half the price!

Anyone else had this problem?

The smart plan allows access to smart benefits. These are tariff benefits.  

 

The trade in option which is different is dependent on the trade in device acceptable to the company offering the trade in option. Not all devices are tradable.

 

I don't see you miss selling point to be honest?

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

@Ja2873  You can still trade in it’s just that your current device doesn’t get the offer that’s available to other devices that might get a tariff price reduction for trading in such a device that’s on a list. But you can still trade in.
