Purchased a iPhone 36 month contract and sim on 24 month contract.. my sim contract has finished but ee are saying I can’t upgrade sim as I have to wait for the 3 year phone contract to expire as it is linked to the phone? Anyone any idea if this is true as can’t see why u would have one on a 3 year and one on a 2 year contract if u can’t change it.

Mines the same and I found out today that I can’t upgrade my sim until phone contract expires! What’s the point of that? I’m not happy

What do you mean by "upgrade SIM"? I would assume you mean change your payment plan, or do you mean something else?
My understanding is that this should not be a problem - if you're disconnecting or porting-out, then the remainder of a device-finance-loan is often required up-front, but changing your airtime plan should be perfectly permissible.
Whom or what has told you otherwise? And as an aside, given the airtime-element of a FlexPay is effectively a SIM-only, I would be curious of where a different plan should give better value!
