Hi I've seen online you can get a 12/24 month Sim only plan and upgrade after x amount of months to a handset plan. Does this apply to all sim only plans?

Thanks

Can I upgrade from a SIM only plan to a phone plan?

Yes. If you decide you want a new phone and you are a new customer, you can upgrade once you’ve been on a SIM only plan for six months.

If you’ve been on your plan for six months or more, you can upgrade from a SIM Only plan onto a phone plan at any time and we'll give you £20 off the price of the phone.

If you decide you want a new phone and you are on a 12-month SIM only plan, you can upgrade once you’ve been on your plan for six months. If you are on a 30-day SIM Only plan, you can upgrade at any time.

Check previous posts about it too and they'll say similar, like here for example.

Ok thanks.

Is there a credit check when upgrading from sim only to a handset plan? Or is it more of an internal check with EE so long as I made payments on time etc? I'm trying to get my credit higher for a mortgage in the next 12 months you see and wouldn't want it declined for whatever reason and it affects that.
