Roaming charges

I purchased the EE travel roaming pass for £25 (per month) which would cover me for my visit in Canada. I activated this last week and arrived in Canada 5 days ago.

My recent bill shows £25 for the ‘roaming abroad pass’ and an additional £5.68 under ‘roaming abroad pass’.

does anybody know why I was charged an extra amount? I can’t seem to be able to contact EE without calling them which would cost me even more.

@sophie19991  It’s only 30 days if you purchases at the start of your monthly cycle.    The pass is billed when you receive a bill and if it goes over a billing cycle you are billed again for it.

It should cost you to call customer services as you can use your allowance when there this includes calls/texts back to the UK

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

The Roam Abroad Pass costs £25 per billing month from the billing month you order it (text ROAMING PASS to 150) until the billing month you cancel it (text STOP ROAMING PASS to 150). For all billing months during which you have the Pass it is charged at the full £25. However if the Pass is carried over from the 1st billing month to the next it will be charged pro-rata for that 1st month alone.

From those figures you started your Pass 7 days before your billing date for which you were charged pro-rata + a full billing month after your billing date.
