Re: Contract end and additional line

Hi

Following on from this post, I need to do the same thing.  My daughter has a second line SIM only under my contract.  What I would like to do is port out to PAYG, wait a month and then get a new contract with EE (either directly or indirectly).  It is a faff, but if you keep your phone for 3 years or so, you save quite a bit of money.

Thanks to XRay, I should be able to port out the number on my main line and keep the second one.

However, when I get my new contract, can I get my daughters number transferred across to my new main contract and then also be able to family share data?

Thank you

Neil

@NeilB55Vic : How can that be possible? When you transfer your daughter's number to your new main contract, which also have to be via another network's PAYG, you will end up with just 1 no., your daughter's old no. So there is nobody to share with.

Hi.  I effectively want to replace the Main Contract with a new one.

Main Contract (running over), with Second Line for child which runs for another 9 months >
Just Second line (with Main Contract terminated and then separate with different provider after porting number) >
Then take up a New Main Contract with EE (porting number in), can I then family link up with the Second Line and still share data?

Thanks

Neil

@NeilB55Vic : That will be possible providing you take out the new main contract under the same MyEE a/c as your daughter's is, but you won't be having daughter's number transferred across to your new main contract as you suggested in your OP.
