Playstation store limit exceed

Tried purchasing something on the PS Store and got the "Spending Limit Exceed" error followed with a text message from EE that I used up my Pay as you go limit. Problem is I don't have a pay as you go account. It's a pay monthly contract and I'm definitely under the £40 transaction limit and the £240 monthly limit. The text said that I only have a £40 limit all together but until now I had at least £60 worth of subscriptions billed to my phone and it was perfectly fine. I'm Really confused why EE thinks my account is a PAYG

I doubt it said "Pay as you go limit". More like "Pay by Mobile limit". Let's see an image of the actual wording.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

There's a link attached to the message itself and it takes me to pay as you go website. I'm really confused why because I never had a problem with charging things to my phone bill

Hey @Airis_x,

What is the full message you are seeing and what is the pay as you go website link you mention?

I know you mentioned being under the £240 monthly limit, but just to be clear the monthly limit does not run off the calendar month, like 1st-31st Oct for example, the limit runs from your original billing dates when the EE account was opened.

So for example if your first EE bill was created on 15th of the month, your charge to bill monthly limit period would be 15th-14th of the month. So depending on what this date is for you, if you have been making purchases in September as well, the one you are trying to add now may be taking you over the monthly limit.
