Plan Upgrade

I have a 24 month contract. If I upgrade my SIM only plan two months before it ends, will I have to pay a penalty fee? Will my current plan be stopped when I upgrade before the plan ends, and the new SIM arrives?

You can convert from a SIM-only plan to a phone-plan anytime if you're a previous phone-plan customer, or after 6months if you're a new EE customer.

A change of price-plan is just an account change and doesn't require a new SIM unless yours is not working. Any new plan will replace an existing plan, you can only have one price-plan active on a given mobile number at a time.

In what way?

I have a 24 month contract and it is a SIM only contract. In the EE app the upgrade is a different plan: SIM only with different data and price. will I have to pay a fee, If I upgrade two months before the contract ends. Can I upgrade the day after the plan ends? If there are fees for early termination of contract, in order to avoid them, should I upgrade a day before the contract ends?

I said "not helpful." Maybe, I should have said that I do not understand. Anyway, thanks for the response.

No, thank you. They didn't offer me the same deals as the EE app, and kept trying to sell me home broadband, which I am not interested in.

If you are on a 24month SIM-only, and are 2months from the minimum-term end, then by definition you are 22months in - thus outside the 6month "new customer" lockout, should that have applied to you.

You can change to a phone-plan anytime after this 6month period, and the new plan will cancel your existing SIM-only plan - taking a new minimum-term from the same day.
