l received a letter from EE telling me that my business package was out of contract.
I have had a couple of texts telling me the same over the last few months but ignored them as l was not sure they were genuine!
Anyhow, l renewed the contract but now am worried it may not be genuine. The letter looks genuine and the square barcode thing when scanned leads me to the EE website.
During the call, the operator sent a code to my phone and it was the same number used by EE for messages in the past.
But the phone number on the letter doesn't seem to come up anywhere with a search.
The number is 0800 079 0207. lt certainly sounds like EE when you call it, but l can't check now because all the offices are "closed" There's also a "callback" number offered which is 1228 (9-6pm)
Can anyone tell me, are these numbers EE numbers?

Numbers prefixed 0800 079 are genuine EE numbers.
Feel free to post up photos or screenshots of any outbound comms you've received, if you're not sure they're genuine. Although I'm not sure what scammers would have to gain by these - they'd want to gain control of your account, not tether you to EE-direct for another minimum-term.
Receiving notification texts to a phone that's approaching the end of its minimum-term is also a BAU activity.
