Need proof of purchase with serial no, for iPhone

I recently started a monthly SIM only contract and installed the EE app. All good.

From the EE app I then purchased a ‘good as new’ iPhone 17 pro max. Because I had only just opened the account I was not eligible to add the phone to my account, so I paid the full amount up front. All good and as expected.

The phone arrived and is great, I am delighted with the phone and the price.

BUT I have not received an invoice, and EE Customer services say it can’t be done!

I have a delivery email with an EE reference number, but this does not have a serial or IMEI number, so I have no proof of purchase for this phone. 

Because I didn’t (couldn’t) buy it on my account, there is no mention of it of my account or in the EE app.

I am using the monthly EE SIM in a second phone, not the iPhone 17 pro max

I have never bought a phone or other expensive item without a proof of purchase invoice.

Has anyone else been in similar situation?

If you give our online store team a call on 0800 079 0062 then they will be able to get your proof of purchase sent out to you 🙂

@mikebore  did you not get a receipt in the packaging ? You normally do. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@Rach_H  Thanks very much Rach. EE Store seems to be way. Got through very quickly and they are sending a receipt with IMEI number shortly. 

Don't know why Customer Services didn't suggest this. I spent 30 mins on the phone to CS this morning while a very helpful agent rang three other departments and ending up saying it couldn't be done!

@Chris_B Good thought but no there wasn't anything in the packaging. Just fished out of bin to double check.
