Hello there I’m getting an email from Lowell with some reference number about EE Limited for a payment. I closed my account long time ago. How can I know if this is legit or scam? Thank you
EE app and website doesn’t let me access my bills and payment there’s always an error “we can’t show this right now. Please try again later”

@Fliper You closed the EE account so obviously you cannot log into a closed. You contract customer support by calling them. But if a debt has been passed to a debt collector then EE customer support can not help you as it’s no longer anything to do with EE.
you also contact Lowell about this. Please see THIS

I doubt that! You ought to be able to still discuss it with EE CS by ID'ing yourself by name, addy, mobile no. &/or Ref. no. The debt is still with EE; Lowell are just employed as collectors.

@XRaySpeX Not if that debt has been paid by the collector. The collector could now be trying to get back what’s owed them plus their costs.

@Chris_B : Debt Collection Agencies | Billing Help :
we may instruct a Debt Collections Agency to contact you and discuss your options for repayment. As there is a cost to EE for this service, we will add on the cost to the amount you already owe us.
If the debt is not repaid to the debt collection agency within a number of weeks we may cancel your line and add the remainder of the amount agreed in your contract to the outstanding balance owed.
We will also notify credit referencing agencies that you have missed payments.
Nowt about selling the debt to the agency; just passing it to them for collection.
