Hi, been paying for international pass for few years, thinking that im getting so many free minutes and guess what, turns out i was paying full price  on top  of plan for every extra minute, plus plan fee. Customer service don't bother refunding or don't want to know anything about it. They offered 30 days sport trial, is  thats a joke? Also I can tell about my underage daughters contract bill, that went over £600 without my knowledge and that been capped to £0 overspend, i can tell all about it if someone interested

An International Pass only covers calls to abroad from UK, on top of your UK plan allowances. So unless you've been calling abroad often you are wasting your money.

I've been paying for an add-on for several years but not checked my bill. Now I have, there's been a mistake but it's someone else's fault and I'm not to blame at all.

What Spend Caps can control

A Spend Cap can restrict:

  • out-of-allowance calls, texts, and picture messages to standard UK and EU numbers
  • EU Roaming per day charges
  • out-of-allowance calls and messages abroad from the UK (IDD)
  • access charges for premium calls and texts for numbers starting 09, 118, 083, 084, 085, 087, 070
  • call divert charges
  • calls via text relay
  • calls to 123
  • calls to bypass services 07744 and 07755
  • paging services
  • calls to 101 non-emergency numbers
  • calls to satellite phone numbers
  • aeroplane and maritime calls and messaging

A Spend Cap can’t restrict:

  • data pass purchases
  • add-on purchases like. Apple Music, TNT Sports, minutes add-ons
  • phone insurance
  • service charges for premium calls and texts
  • charge to bill services like using your mobile bill as your App Store payment method or to enter text-based competitions and make donations
  • voice short codes
  • premium rate texts received
  • admin charges
  • late payment fees
  • monthly recurring charges such as plan charges

I hope this helps you with what a spend cap covers and doesn’t cover for extra costs as you don’t say what the extra costs are for.

@Art20 , Just to add to the mix, you are responsible for checking your bill and if you do not do so for years, then EE will not refund you for you not checking your bills, it is not they cannot be bothered, but you could not be bothered, and having a spend cap, does not stop some payments being made, as @Chris_B  has written, should have checked it out long before, then this would not have happened, your responsibility when it comes to your daughter’s spending, not sure why you are expecting a refund, most do check their monthly bills, that is why you receive them, then you could have made sure that the overspend would not happen.

Sounds to me like its not independent replies there, you probably getting paid to write what suits ee, or you actually work for ee.... So its pointless for me writing anything here as its only created to prove truth of the ee... Lol

Are you suggesting that anyone who disagrees with you, is automatically an EE staffer - purely on the basis that you think all others users would unequivocally agree with you?

Think that through.
