Hi, I would like to know how to change EE account ownership to my name, as my contract has ended and It was an account a family member got for me before I had a bank account. I wish to upgrade and get a new contract aswell.

@ph4ntom the original account holder will need to call customer support to request a change of ownership. you would also need to be there at the same time as you have to accept that change of ownership you’ll also need to pass a credit check. And you’ll probably find that you can upgrade for at least three months after that change of ownership as you’re going to have to prove to EE that you will pay the bills on time.

Ah I see, Can I still keep the same account after the transfer or will I need to make a new one, as the current one uses my email?

When this transfers into your name, the account number will change. However, the team can help make sure your online account is set with the email address you want to use. When you call us directly with the current account holder, the team will talk you through everything step by step.
