EU Roaming charges

I recently moved from Plusnet - sim only £10 per month as i don't use much data. Latest bill is showing a charge for EU roaming data that i was unaware was part of the deal! No way i'm going to need roaming data - don't even have valid passport!

Can i get out of this? If not i'll be getting as far away from EE as possible, ASAP!

Hi. Seems i have junped the gun here, not fully understanding about EU roaming charges. Was expecting bill of around £30 for sim and BT sport, and bill is well in excess of this. I thought it was due to a ‘compulsory’ charge for EU roaming facility and would have to be paid every month even if i didn’t need it. Having now downloaded bill i see it is due to charges from last month (my first month with EE), and advance charges for this month in relation to sim and BT sport.

Can you be more specific what this charge is, and what it's for? What exactly is showing on your bill?
