if I have a contract and it’s a 2 year and is due to end on 7 July, does it automatically end so no direct debit is taken and it’s completely finished? Do I have to call up or anything to say I no longer want upgrade or carry a contract on?

Contract don’t just finish, the minimum term just expires. Your direct debit and contract will carry on as normal unless you ring EE and give them 30 days notice to terminate your contract or you give pac code and move to another network . Or you could upgrade to another phone contract or sim only deal.

@Caitlin_ Just to add to what @Gareth43 has put your contract when it’s reaches its minimum term will change to a 30 day rolling contract at the same price point and after 3 months you’ll get a 10% discount on that price.
If a contract just finishes at the minimum term date you’ll be cut off and you wouldn’t want that to happen especially if you was abroad.
If you call to give notice to terminate your contract and do not request to be moved to a PAYG you’ll be cut off as contracts when terminated are not moved automatically to PAYG you have to request that.

I've just had my new sim only contract no frills and it's saying £20 a month. I was told it was £10 when I agreed

@Philomena57 you’ll have to speak with customer services about that. This is a public forum that has no access to your EE account

Hi @Kathjon05,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
In the My EE app select, Plans & subscriptions > select your mobile plan > tap View your plan details.
Hope this helps.
James
