I am trying to set up Direct Debit but my account online keeps saying "You'll need to pay off any outstanding balance on your account before you can set up or change your Direct Debit."
I have paid my outstanding balance but it is still not letting me set up a Direct Debit. So it seems that I am stuck.
Unfortunately I cannot call customer service because I am now located in the US.
Can anybody help?

@guushulsker If you have just paid this you’ll need to allow up to 24 hours for everything to update.

Thanks, I tried and you are right. It seems it only accepts UK payments (not US) because it is asking for a sort code. Is there any way to set up direct debit with a US card? (I have been able to make a one off payment with a US card.)
