Cannot pay on private browsers

gdrake235
Explorer

In all occurrences your website is incapable of completing a mobile journey to check out and pay on private browsers (such as duck duck go, chrome incognito ) my bill was due the 6th still unable to complete the journey for payment leaving my account in poor standing again.

I have tested all journeys from app linking to the site and logging into the site directly.

Not entirely sure how this error is occurring on your end unless your team is attempting to store PI information against opt out consents via cookies ?

Fix it to allow the journey and thus process my payment.

Hi @gdrake235

I assume it's for security. From EE end it may record ip records and other information in case of fraud or for security.

Ways to pay your bill can be found below. No excuse for late payments, which are your fault and responsibility.

Thanks

Hi Northerner,

I said PI (Personal Identifiable) data which is essentially the reason for opting out, not IP. I am reporting a bug that stops payment from checking out together and logs me out, so yes, it's a valid excuse and ee responsibility.

Pretty awful response to raising a bug for every journey I cannot check out on a private browser. It is not a security reason. Since the Cambridge analytica scandal it's quite common to allow opt out methods.

This is an actual bug and an issue.

Regards

At which point does it fail? I can get to the payment page in Chrome Incognito. Maybe add a screenshot of the error?
