Hey there @hyltontrotter.

Welcome to the EE community!

We don't have access to any accounts through this public forum, so it's not a place we can process cancellations I'm afraid.

If you get in touch with our customer care team though, they'll be able to point you in the right direction for getting this sorted out.

If you just cancel the old SIM you won't be able to keep its no. To keep its no. you'll need to upgrade it to a new SIM contract. Then you won't need to cancel it.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Oh, what happens if I don’t want to keep that number. I want to start paying for my own SIM card tho

If you are wanting to cease your mobile contract completely you need to phone EE giving 30 days notice of cancellation of your contract. If you are still within your min term you will be liable to pay early termination fees for the rest of the term. It will basically be months left x monthly charge - 4%.

Hi @MiniS67

Welcome to the Community!

We would need to speak with the account holder to cancel an account, and this contract will continue unless they reach out to us.

If you are wanting to take out a new line in your name, you can do so at any time, and get a new number.

The bill payer, ex step parent, doesn't have to be the A/c Holder.
