Accidental 24-month contract renewal via Apple TV add-on (Day 16)

I recently noticed that my My EE app is showing a brand-new 24-month contract running all the way until September 2028. After looking into it, I realized this new contract was automatically triggered when I accepted a 6-month Apple TV promotional add-on 16 days ago. I was completely unaware that accepting a digital free trial would completely restart a 2-year commitment on my core broadband line.

I am currently at Day 16, which is only 2 days past the standard 14-day cooling-off window. I did not intend to sign a new 2-year contract, as my eventual goal is to move to a broadband-only plan and port my landline number to an independent provider.
Could a community manager please look into my account and help me revert my broadband contract back to its previous out-of-contract, monthly rolling status as a gesture of goodwill?
Thanks

@Antfly A free trial wouldn’t renew or re-contract your broadband contract to a new 24m contract.  I know it didn’t when I took out the 6 month trial for Apple TV+  partway through my broadband contract.

The 14 day cooling of period is just for this purpose but it’s 14 days as per legal requirements and there is no exception even by 2 days as it’s past 14 days.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 150 from any other phone.

Nobody here has account access so you'll have to call in.

I'd imagine it will be some stretch though, you admit you never noticed but now want something reverted as a gesture of goodwill, why should they?

Well I wasn't expecting it to renew my contract but it clearly has as it renewed on the very same date.

I don't know how you took up the 6 month Apple offer but I had to go through everything in our package without changing anything other than accepting the offer. I didn't see anywhere that I was starting a new contract.
